Welcome to True Tahiti. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, www.truetahiti.co.nz, and purchases made through our online store.

By placing an order, you agree to these terms, together with our Refund & Returns Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable New Zealand consumer protection laws.

1. About True Tahiti

True Tahiti is a New Zealand-based skincare and body care brand.

Our online store is operated through Shopify. All purchases from our website are made directly with True Tahiti, not Shopify.

2. Products and Descriptions

We make every reasonable effort to accurately display and describe our products, including their ingredients, sizes, fragrances and intended uses.

Product photographs and colours may appear slightly different depending on your device or screen settings.

We reserve the right to update product descriptions, packaging, availability and pricing. Any changes will not affect orders already accepted unless otherwise agreed or required by law.

All products are subject to availability.

3. Orders and Payment

By placing an order, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

All prices are displayed in New Zealand dollars (NZD), with GST included where applicable.

Shipping charges are calculated or displayed during checkout before payment is completed.

Once an order is submitted, you will receive an order acknowledgement. Orders are accepted when we confirm their acceptance or dispatch.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including stock unavailability, suspected fraud, payment issues or obvious pricing errors.

If payment has already been received for an order we cannot fulfil, we will provide a refund for the affected products.

Payment is generally required at checkout unless alternative arrangements have been agreed with an approved wholesale customer.

4. Shipping and Delivery

We currently deliver throughout New Zealand.

Orders are generally processed within 1–2 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Delivery times depend on location and courier availability.

Delivery estimates are indicative and may change due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where we arrange delivery to a consumer, True Tahiti remains responsible for ensuring the order is delivered in accordance with applicable consumer laws.

If an order is lost, arrives damaged or does not arrive within a reasonable time, please contact us so we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy.

5. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

Due to the nature of our skincare and personal care products, we do not accept returns, refunds or exchanges for change of mind, personal preference or incorrect product selection.

This applies to both opened and unopened products.

If a product is faulty, arrives damaged, is incorrectly supplied or otherwise fails to meet applicable consumer guarantees, you may be entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Our Refund & Returns Policy explains the process for requesting assistance and does not restrict your statutory rights.

6. Product Use and Safety

Our products are intended for cosmetic and personal care use in accordance with their labels and instructions.

Customers should review ingredient information before use, particularly where known allergies or sensitivities exist.

We recommend performing a patch test before first use and discontinuing use if irritation occurs. Seek appropriate medical advice if you experience an adverse reaction.

Information provided on our website is general product information and is not intended to replace professional medical advice.

Nothing in this section excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Gift Vouchers

True Tahiti gift vouchers may be redeemed against eligible products purchased directly from our online store.

Gift vouchers sold on or after 16 March 2026 will have a validity period of at least three years from the date of sale, in accordance with applicable New Zealand law. Their expiry information will be clearly provided.

Gift vouchers cannot generally be exchanged for cash or refunded for change of mind, except where required by law.

Any unused balance remains available until the applicable expiry date, subject to any lawful conditions disclosed at purchase.

Please keep gift voucher codes secure and contact us promptly if you believe a voucher has been used without authorisation.

8. Wholesale and Trade Customers

True Tahiti supplies approved wholesale customers, including retailers, spas, salons and other authorised stockists.

Purchases intended for commercial resale must be made through an approved wholesale arrangement.

Wholesale pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities, delivery arrangements and other commercial conditions may be governed by separately agreed wholesale terms.

Where separate wholesale terms have been agreed, those terms take priority over these general terms to the extent of any inconsistency and as permitted by law.

Any contracting out of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 for eligible business-to-business transactions must satisfy the requirements of New Zealand law, including agreement in writing and the applicable fairness and reasonableness requirements.

9. Website Accounts and Acceptable Use

Customers are responsible for keeping their account credentials confidential and for providing accurate account and contact information.

You must not use our website for unlawful, fraudulent or malicious activities, interfere with its security, or attempt to access information belonging to other customers.

We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect our website, customers or business, subject to applicable law.

10. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the True Tahiti brand, website content, product photography, packaging designs, written material and other original content are owned by or licensed to True Tahiti.

You may not reproduce, commercially distribute or use our intellectual property without prior written permission, except where permitted by law or separately agreed.

Approved wholesale customers may use authorised True Tahiti marketing materials in accordance with their wholesale arrangements.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

Our online store uses Shopify and may include services supplied by payment processors, shipping providers and other third parties.

Shopify provides the ecommerce platform, but True Tahiti remains the seller responsible for orders placed with us.

Our website may also contain links to third-party websites. We do not control their content or privacy practices.

12. Privacy

We collect and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes information to operate the store and may, depending on the features enabled, process information to provide enhanced services and personalised experiences.

13. Liability and Consumer Protection

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes, restricts or modifies any rights, guarantees, remedies or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

This includes applicable rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and protections under the Fair Trading Act 1986.

To the extent permitted by law, True Tahiti is not responsible for losses caused solely by events outside our reasonable control, except where we remain legally responsible.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in our business, website or legal obligations.

Updated terms will be published on our website with a revised date.

Changes will generally apply to future orders and will not retrospectively alter accepted purchases unless legally permitted and agreed.

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable New Zealand law, without limiting customers' rights to access relevant courts, tribunals or statutory remedies.
